Savannah,Georgia trip 2006
What an experience!!!!
designed with Homestead
Our trip to Savannah was, needless to say, eventful!! We had the BEST guide anyone could ask for~ Karl, here's to you! Karl was kind enough to put up with the four of us one night and take us on a guided tour of several of Savannah's haunts. One of them being Moon River Brewery where we all had first hand experiences and pretty good photographic and electronic evidence.
<~~~This is Karl Kessler, our guide, if you are in Savannah, ask for him.......he is GREAT!

When you plan your trip to Savannah, make sure to include eating at The Pirates House Restaurant.
Not only is the food excellent, but the restaurant itself is haunted. It was featured on The Travel Channels 'Most Haunted Places: Savannah'..........and if you are lucky, like we were, you will get to meet Chef Harold, who was interviewed by TTC about his experiences there!! Thank you Chef Harold!!
We all packed up one evening for the Hearse Ghost Ride. This was really an experience!! Our driver was gracious and patient with our questions, making numerous stops for us, and taking our picture to post on the website. Make sure this is something you will do when in Savannah!! We all recommend this.
Try the Savannah Haunted Pub crawl too. This is brought to you by James Caskey, author of the book Haunted Savannah, which we purchased and had autographed by James and Karl (who is on pages 16 and 112). The tour starts at Molly McPhersons Pub and goes through several pubs that are supposedly haunted. We had GREAT fun on this one!
You can't call your trip to Savannah complete until you visit Bonaventure Cemetery and Colonial Park Cemetery. Bonaventure is where most of the characters from Midnight in The Garden of Good and Evil were laid to rest. The place is clearly marked so you will be able to find what you are looking for, including the grave of little Gracie (It is said that her tombstone weeps) the tombstone is a life sized likeness of Gracie and is beautiful.
We enjoyed a day at Tybee Island as well. Tybee is only 12 miles from Savannah and has a beautiful beach. The pier goes out for a lovely view. While at Tybee we went to get us a shirt airbrushed and met a great guy (I can't recall his name) we met so many people! I want to say this, if you need a shirt done visit Sunbuff airbrush souvenirs at 1509 Butler Avenue, this guy is TALENTED!

<~~~Brenda took some beautiful pictures of little Gracie's resting place in Banaventure. Unfortunately, my computer won't let me make these into a thumbnail photo, I hope you can see them. She did a wonderful job with photographing this spot!!
